Note that the USB cable is only required to initially install the PS3 driver, and if necessary to download it, the settings will be configured for wireless use of the Playstation controller via Bluetooth. To get started, you need a Mac with any modern version of Mac OS X, Bluetooth support, a standard Sony Playstation 3 wireless controller with charging, and a Mini-USB cable that connects the Playstation 3 controller to a console or USB port to download it.
